LinkedIn integration

The LinkedIn integration publishes through the LinkedIn API. Studio writes the post in LinkedIn's register rather than pasting the article's opening paragraph, queues it for approval, and publishes it at the scheduled moment.

The text limit Studio writes to is 3,000 characters, enforced before publication rather than discovered at the API.

What the LinkedIn integration can be used for

LinkedIn can be used for automatic content distribution. Every published article can produce a LinkedIn post without anyone rewriting it by hand.

LinkedIn can be used for scheduled publishing at the hours that work. Posts are queued and released on a schedule rather than whenever somebody remembers.

LinkedIn can be used for draft-first publishing, where the post is created as a draft and a human hits publish in LinkedIn itself.

LinkedIn can be used for approval-gated publishing, so a marketing lead reviews a batch once and the queue drains itself.

LinkedIn can be used as a measured channel, because the link carries campaign parameters the first-party tracker reads back.

LinkedIn combined with other integrations

CombinationWhat it gives you
LinkedIn + content pipelineOne article becomes a native post, automatically, on publish
LinkedIn + first-party trackerWhat LinkedIn traffic did on site, and whether it converted
LinkedIn + Search ConsoleSocial amplification for the articles already gaining organic traction
LinkedIn + company brainPosts written in your own voice and grounded in your own material

What you need to connect LinkedIn

  • A LinkedIn account, and admin rights on the company page if you publish there
  • OAuth authorisation from Studio, which stores a refreshable token rather than a password

Frequently asked

Can I review before it goes out? Yes. Distributions sit in an approval queue and nothing publishes until approved, individually or in a batch.

Does it repost the same text everywhere? No. Each channel gets its own generated variant sized and phrased for that channel.

Can it attach an image? Not yet. Image posting is on the roadmap. The generated image is stored with the distribution in the meantime.
